Cosmetically, Siege has been absolutely insane for a while now for the fact that you can be spawn peeked by a dude wearing a football helmet, and soon a biker is going to be running around with a MP7 and no body armor. Although rather than starting a riot about it like some seem to want to, I welcome the variety and I think it shouldn't be so shunned. I'm quite excited for both Australian operators and I'm incredibly surprised at the size and shape of Gridlock especially.

Actually peek the window itself? They'll get decapitated in an instant. Chuck a C4 through the Mira window peek? Gridlock's laying down covering fire so thick a mosquito couldn't make it through. Try to rush? The Trax will put a stop to that, not to mention alert the attackers to the threat. What are they gonna do, shoot the planter from CCTV door? They can't see them. The last Trax can either go either at the top of Blue stairs or at Server door, depending on whether or not you want to cover a potential post-plant rotate or the defuser itself.īoom! Just like that, Gridlock single-handedly covered the plant, and the enemy team can't do shit. After those are deployed, Gridlock maintains what is essentially an extended prefire on the Mira window, preventing her from peeking and potentially taking out the planter. The smokes and Trax go to cover/smoke off CCTV door and the Mira window/rotate in red. One potential example of Gridlock being used this way is on Bank basement, when your team is going for a CCTV plant. (Gridlock is one of the few operators where taking her LMG is actually a better idea, stats-wise.) You have Trax to block doorways/hallways and cover the noise of the defuser going down, you have smokes to deny sightlines, and you have a big-ass LMG that's excellent at maintaining suppressing fire on a single entryway or peek hole. Yes, very much so! She's an excellent support op, and is quite literally god-tier when it comes to covering the plant, if played correctly. TLDR: With a coordinating team she can be insane, with a solo que and no mic she can be very VERY good but not totally bonkers. The defence has to shoot your things or run through your gadget and smokes just to get shot with proper cover, or they blind fire into the smoke to try to get lucky which is countered with something called “Cover”. Once you get into sight you could literally just pop your smokes get someone to cover you and yeet your gadget and plant.
But i would say she very much make up for that with all her pros. As a 1 speed she is kinda load so it’s decently easy to hear her if you pay attention. The only semi- Downside is that uhhh well she thicc. She had pretty good guns with decent fire rate and high zoom scopes if that helps. I would say she is literal god tier in the right hands and remember in the right hands, She can flank denial, cover plant, play vertical, play below kinda, i have also seen her help with roam clear with her gadget but that is kinda wasteful in my opinion.
